Description
Easy 5-Ingredient Peanut Butter Bars Perfect for Homemade Snacks
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup (250g) creamy or chunky peanut butter (natural, with just peanuts and salt)
- ½ cup (170g) honey
- 2 cups (180g) old-fashioned rolled oats
- 1 teaspoon (5ml) vanilla extract
- ¼ teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy lifting, or grease well if not using parchment.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 cup peanut butter and ½ cup honey. Stir until smooth and creamy. Warm peanut butter in microwave for 20 seconds if stiff.
- Stir in 1 teaspoon vanilla extract and ¼ teaspoon salt until well combined.
- Add 2 cups rolled oats and mix gently until all oats are coated and mixture is thick and sticky.
- Transfer mixture to prepared pan and press firmly and evenly using a spatula or lightly greased hands.
- Bake for about 15 minutes until edges are golden and top looks set but not dry.
- Let bars cool completely in the pan (at least 20 minutes) before lifting out and slicing into 12 bars. For cleaner slices, chill in fridge for 10 minutes before cutting.
