Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each, skin-on or skinless)
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons hot sauce (like Frank’s RedHot or Sriracha)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper (to taste)
  • Sliced green onions and sesame seeds (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
  2. Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels and place skin-side down on prepared baking sheet. Season with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and garlic powder.
  3. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine honey, hot sauce, soy sauce, lemon juice, and olive oil. Stir and simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened, then remove from heat.
  4. Brush half of the hot honey glaze over the top of the salmon fillets.
  5. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until salmon easily flakes with a fork and reaches 125-130°F internal temperature. During the last 2 minutes, broil on high for extra caramelization if desired.
  6. Remove from oven and brush with remaining hot honey glaze.
  7. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds, then serve immediately.
