Description
Tender salmon cubes coated in a sticky, sweet, and savory honey garlic glaze. Perfect as an appetizer or a light meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1½ lb salmon, skin removed and cut into 1-inch cubes
- 3 tablespoons olive oil, divided
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ¾ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 2 teaspoons garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- ¼ cup honey
- 2 teaspoons sesame seeds
- 2 teaspoons chopped chives
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine salmon cubes, 1 tablespoon olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat evenly.
- In a small saucepan, heat remaining 2 tablespoons olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and grated ginger, sautéing for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Pour in soy sauce and rice vinegar, then stir in honey. Bring to a gentle simmer and cook for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened.
- Heat a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add seasoned salmon in a single layer and sear for 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through.
- Reduce skillet heat to low. Pour about half of the warm honey garlic sauce over the salmon and gently toss to coat. Let sit for 1 minute.
- Transfer salmon bites to a serving platter. Drizzle with remaining sauce and garnish with sesame seeds and chopped chives.
