A refreshing beverage made with dried hibiscus flowers and apple skins, perfect for any occasion.

- 2 medium-sized apples (preferably organic, any variety)
- 1 cup dried hibiscus flowers
- 4 cups water
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
- 1 whole lemon (juiced)
- a pinch cinnamon (optional)
- fresh mint leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Wash the apples thoroughly and slice them into thin rounds, removing the core and seeds while keeping the skins intact.
- In a medium-sized pot, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil over medium-high heat.
- Add the dried hibiscus flowers to the boiling water and let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
- Add the apple skins and slices to the pot and continue to simmer for an additional 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove the pot from heat and stir in honey or maple syrup if desired, along with the lemon juice and a pinch of cinnamon.
- Strain the mixture into a pitcher or large bowl, discarding the hibiscus flowers and apple skins.
- Serve the brew warm or let it cool down to room temperature before refrigerating for an iced drink.
- Pour into glasses, garnish with fresh mint leaves, and enjoy.
