- 1 1/2 cups cold milk
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling
- 1 tub (8 oz) whipped topping (like Cool Whip), thawed
- 1/4 cup sliced almonds
Instructions
- Cut the angel food cake into bite-sized cubes and layer half in the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a bowl, whisk together vanilla pudding mix, cold milk, and sour cream until smooth and thick.
- Spread half of the pudding mixture over the first layer of cake cubes.
- Add the remaining cake cubes on top of the pudding layer.
- Spread the rest of the pudding mixture evenly over the top.
- Spoon the cherry pie filling across the surface, distributing evenly.
- Top the cake with the whipped topping and spread gently to cover the cherry layer.
- Sprinkle sliced almonds on top as a finishing touch.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.
