Description
A rolled pizza stuffed with ham, melty cheese, and a sweet-tangy honey mustard glaze, perfect for weeknights or casual brunches.
Ingredients
- Pizza dough (store-bought or homemade) — enough for one large rectangle
- Ham slices (deli-style) — 8–10 slices
- Shredded or sliced mozzarella or cheddar — about 1–2 cups
- Honey mustard — for glaze (2–3 tablespoons)
- Poppy seeds — for topping and optional glaze stir-in
- Olive oil — for brushing the crust (1–2 tbsp)
- Salt — a pinch or two to finish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Lightly flour your work surface and roll the pizza dough into a rectangle about 10×14 inches.
- Layer ham slices evenly over the dough, leaving a 1/2-inch border along the far long edge.
- Scatter the cheese evenly on top of the ham.
- Starting from the long edge nearest you, roll the dough tightly into a log. Tuck as you go to keep the filling inside.
- Pinch the ends and the seam to seal; place the roll seam-side down on the prepared sheet.
- Brush the top with olive oil. Sprinkle with coarse salt and poppy seeds.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes, until the crust is deep golden brown and the cheese is melted inside.
- Whisk honey mustard with a pinch of extra poppy seeds to make the glaze.
- Remove the stromboli from the oven and brush generously with the honey-mustard glaze. Let rest 5 minutes, then slice and serve.
