Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh green beans (trimmed)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Blanch the green beans in boiling water for 3-4 minutes until bright green, then drain and set aside.
  3. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant.
  4. Add the heavy cream to the saucepan and bring to a simmer, then stir in the cheddar cheese until melted and smooth.
  5. Season the cheese sauce with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. In a baking dish, combine the green beans with the cheese sauce and mix well to coat.
  7. Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese and breadcrumbs evenly over the top.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
  9. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
