Garlicky Tofu with Cilantro Sauce transforms simple ingredients into a flavorful experience, perfect for quick weeknight dinners.
Ingredients

- 14–16 oz Firm or extra-firm tofu
- Salt and black pepper
- 4–5 cloves Fresh garlic
- 4 stalks Scallions
- 1 large bunch Fresh cilantro
- 2 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Sesame oil
- 1 tbsp Optional lime juice
- ¼ tsp Optional crushed red pepper
- 2–4 tbsp Water or vegetable broth
Instructions
- Cut your tofu into cubes and sear them in a hot pan with sesame oil until golden-brown on all sides, about 5-7 minutes. Set aside some for blending later.
- Add minced garlic and chopped scallions to the hot pan. Stir quickly to prevent burning; cook for about 1-2 minutes.
- Blend fresh cilantro with some of the seared tofu, sesame oil, seasonings, and a splash of water or broth until smooth.
- Pour the cilantro sauce over the seared tofu in the pan. Toss everything to coat and cook for another 1-2 minutes until warmed through.
