- 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
- 1 teaspoon Sweet Paprika
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1 tablespoon Unsalted Butter
- 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
- 4 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 Yellow Onion, diced
- 1 can (14 oz) Coconut Milk, full fat
- 2 teaspoons Cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons Fish Sauce
- 1 teaspoon Honey
- 2 tablespoons Lime Juice
- 2 tablespoons Cilantro, chopped
- Chili Flakes (optional, for serving)
- Freshly Cracked Black Pepper (for serving)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine shrimp with salt, black pepper, sweet paprika, and garlic powder. Toss to coat and set aside.
- Heat a skillet over high heat, add olive oil and butter. Once melted, add shrimp in a single layer and sear for 1 minute per side until pink.
- Lower heat to medium, sauté minced garlic and onion for about 3 minutes until onion is translucent.
- Pour in coconut milk, stir in cornstarch mixture, fish sauce, honey, and lime juice. Simmer for about 2 minutes.
- Return shrimp to the skillet, toss in the sauce to coat. Simmer for an additional minute until heated through.
- Remove from heat, stir in cilantro. Serve topped with more cilantro, chili flakes, and black pepper.
