- 3 tablespoons (60 g) caster sugar (fine granulated sugar)
- ¼ cup (63 mL) milk (dairy or plant-based)
- 2 tablespoons (40 mL) canola oil (or light vegetable oil)
- ¼ teaspoon (1 g) vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon (2 g) rainbow sprinkles
Instructions
- Choose a large microwave-safe mug (at least 350 mL / 12.5 oz) and grease lightly if desired.
- Add flour, baking powder, and sugar to the mug; stir until evenly combined.
- Pour in milk, canola oil, and vanilla extract; stir until smooth.
- Gently fold in rainbow sprinkles without overmixing.
- Microwave on high for 90 seconds.
- Test doneness with a fork; if needed, microwave in 10-second bursts until cooked through.
- Let cool for 30–60 seconds before serving, optionally topped with ice cream or more sprinkles.
