- 12 to 15 frozen potstickers
- 4 cups chicken broth or vegetable broth
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 teaspoons freshly grated ginger
- 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
- 2 to 3 green onions, chopped
- 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms (optional)
- 1/2 cup spinach or bok choy leaves (optional)
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar (optional)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 1 teaspoon chili oil or red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
Instructions
- Warm sesame oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add garlic and ginger, sauté for 30 seconds.
- Pour in the broth and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Add frozen potstickers and cook according to package instructions, about 5 to 7 minutes.
- If using mushrooms, spinach, or bok choy, add during the last 2 to 3 minutes of cooking.
- Stir in soy sauce, rice vinegar if desired, and season with salt and pepper.
- Ladle soup into bowls, garnish with green onions and chili oil or red pepper flakes.
