- 16 –18 small breakfast sausage links
- or 250–300 g sausage, cooked and cut into pieces
- Maple syrup
- Honey
- Powdered sugar

Instructions
- Cook the Sausage
- Heat a pan over medium heat.
- Cook sausage links until browned and fully cooked.
- Transfer to a plate and let cool slightly.
- Prepare the Batter
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla.
- Mix until smooth (do not overmix).
- Assemble
- Option A – Muffin Style
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Grease a mini muffin pan.
- Fill each cavity halfway with batter.
- Place one sausage piece in each.
- Cover with a small amount of batter.
- Option B – Pancake Style
- Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat.
- Pour small circles of batter.
- Place sausage in center.
- Add a little more batter on top.
- Cook
- Oven method: bake 15–18 minutes until golden.
- Pan method: cook 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Serve
- Serve warm with maple syrup or honey.
