  • 2 tablespoons mirin

Instructions

  1. Peel and Dice: Start by peeling the potatoes and cutting them into 1-inch cubes.
  2. Boil Potatoes: Place the diced potatoes in a large pan and cover them with water. Boil until soft, about 15 minutes.
  3. Drain Well: Once the potatoes are tender, drain them thoroughly.
  4. Mash Potatoes: Use a masher or fork to turn the drained potatoes into a smooth mash.
  5. Mix Ingredients: Add the potato starch, vegan butter, and salt to your mashed potatoes. Stir well.
  6. Shape Mochi: Scoop out ¼ cup of the mixture and gently shape it into a smooth disc.
  7. Heat Oil: In a frying pan, heat the oil over medium heat.
