Description

These bite-sized Easter Bunny Button Cookies are perfect for holiday nibbling, soft and buttery, and festive with pastel M&M decorations.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 2 large egg yolks
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2⅓ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup sanding sugar
  • ½ cup pastel M&M candies

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream the softened butter with the sugar until light and fluffy, about 2–3 minutes.
  3. Add the egg yolks and vanilla extract and mix until incorporated.
  4. Gradually add the flour, mixing on low speed until just combined.
  5. Scoop teaspoon-sized portions of dough, roll into balls, and coat in sanding sugar. Place them spaced about 1 inch apart on the baking sheet.
  6. Press one pastel M&M into the center of each ball, flattening slightly.
  7. Bake for 10 minutes until set and lightly browned on the bottom. Let cool on the baking sheet for 3–5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
