Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 3/4 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
- 1 cup Granulated Sugar
- 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter, softened
- 2 large Eggs
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1/4 teaspoon Salt
- 1 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
- Optional: Mini Marshmallows for add-ins
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat together the softened unsalted butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and a pinch of salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix; the dough should be thick.
- Fold in the chocolate chips, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the dough.
- Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set but the centers still look slightly soft.
- Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
