Description
Tender cubes of juicy steak marinate in the crock pot for hours in a silky, savory, beef au jus. Serve over a bed of rice, creamy mashed potatoes or some of your favorite vegetables for a complete, satisfying meal the whole family will love.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3 lbs sirloin steak (cut into bite sized pieces)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- salt and pepper (to taste)
- 1 oz au jus mix (1 packet)
- 3 cups beef broth
- 1 small onion (diced)
- 2 tablespoons garlic (minced)
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Cut your steak into small, bite size pieces. Season the cubes with regular salt and black pepper.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat add the small pieces of steak and sear for about 1-2 minutes on each side. No need to cook them all the way through. Once done, transfer the steak to the slow cooker.
- In a medium bowl, combine the au jus mix, beef broth, onion, minced garlic, and Worcestershire sauce. If you like spice, add red pepper flakes.
- Pour the broth into the slow cooker. Stir with the steak to combine. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
- Once done, serve the steak with your favorite sides and top with some of the au jus. Garnish with fresh parsley and enjoy!
