  • 8 ounces mushrooms (chopped)
  • ¼ cup sliced green onions (optional)
  • 2 packages rice paper (about 8 inches in size)
  • ¼ cup tamari or coconut aminos
  • 12 teaspoons hot sauce
  • 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
  • splash water
  • toasted sesame seeds (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add one tablespoon of oil along with the minced garlic and grated ginger. Cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  2. Add your protein of choice to the skillet and cook for 1-2 minutes. Stir in the tamari or soy sauce.

  4. Transfer the mixture to a bowl using a slotted spoon and let it cool.
  5. Whisk together the dipping sauce ingredients until well-combined.

  7. Dip a sheet of rice paper in the water for a few seconds, then place it onto your oiled plate.
  8. Fill the rice paper with 1 heaping tablespoon of filling, fold the sides, and roll to seal.
  9. Clean the skillet, add a thin layer of oil, and cook 3-4 dumplings for 5-6 minutes on each side.
  10. Set cooked dumplings on a wire rack to keep them crispy.
  11. Serve hot or store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
