- 1 lb boneless skinless chicken thighs
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds optional
- 2 cups cooked rice for serving
Instructions
- Pat chicken dry and cut into bite-sized pieces. Toss with cornstarch, salt, and pepper.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and sear until golden and crispy on both sides. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, sauté garlic for 30 seconds. Add soy sauce, brown sugar, and water. Simmer until slightly thickened.
- Add broccoli, cover, and steam for 3 to 5 minutes until tender-crisp.
- Return chicken to the pan and toss everything together until coated in sauce. Cook for 2 more minutes.
- Serve over rice and garnish with sesame seeds.
