Description

Ingredients

  • 12 oz (about 340g) shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tablespoons (45g) unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¾ cup (180ml) heavy cream
  • ½ cup (45g) freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons (30ml) fresh lemon juice
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Pat your shrimp dry with paper towels and toss with salt and pepper. Set aside.
  2. Heat 2 tablespoons butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook 1-2 minutes until fragrant and slightly golden, avoiding burning.
  3. Add shrimp in a single layer and cook about 2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp and set aside.
  4. Lower heat to medium-low and pour in heavy cream. Stir to deglaze the pan, scraping up garlic bits. Simmer gently for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Add lemon juice and red pepper flakes, stirring to combine.
  6. Return shrimp to the pan and toss to coat in sauce. Heat through for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
