Description
A quick and easy homemade seafood dinner for two featuring shrimp in a rich yet light creamy garlic butter sauce with Parmesan and lemon.

- 12 oz (about 340g) shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 3 tablespoons (45g) unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- ¾ cup (180ml) heavy cream
- ½ cup (45g) freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons (30ml) fresh lemon juice
- ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Pat your shrimp dry with paper towels and toss with salt and pepper. Set aside.
- Heat 2 tablespoons butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook 1-2 minutes until fragrant and slightly golden, avoiding burning.
- Add shrimp in a single layer and cook about 2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp and set aside.
- Lower heat to medium-low and pour in heavy cream. Stir to deglaze the pan, scraping up garlic bits. Simmer gently for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Stir in grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Add lemon juice and red pepper flakes, stirring to combine.
- Return shrimp to the pan and toss to coat in sauce. Heat through for 2-3 minutes.
- Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
