Description
Your new favorite party food! These flaky Spinach Dip in Bite-Sized Pinwheels are so easy to make with puff pastry. A guaranteed creamy, savory hit!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 bag frozen chopped spinach (10 oz) thawed and squeezed
- 1 block cream cheese (8 oz) softened
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan
- 1/4 cup mayo
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- pinch red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 sheet puff pastry thawed but still cold
- 1 egg for brushing
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine cream cheese, Parmesan, mayo, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Add the squeezed spinach and mix until even.
- Flour your counter and roll out the puff pastry. Spread the spinach mixture over it, leaving one long side empty to seal later. Roll it up tightly like a jelly roll.
- Wrap the log in plastic wrap and chill in the fridge for 30 minutes. Preheat your oven to 400F.
- Remove the log from the fridge and slice it into half-inch rounds. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Beat the egg with a splash of water and brush it on top of the rounds. Bake for 15–20 minutes until they puff up and turn golden.
Notes
- Make sure to squeeze out as much water from the spinach as possible.
- You can add more spices to adjust the flavor to your liking.
- These pinwheels can be made ahead and frozen before baking.
