Description

Your new favorite party food! These flaky Spinach Dip in Bite-Sized Pinwheels are so easy to make with puff pastry. A guaranteed creamy, savory hit!


Ingredients

  • 1 bag frozen chopped spinach (10 oz) thawed and drained
  • 1 block cream cheese (8 oz) softened
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan
  • 1/4 cup mayo
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • pinch red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 sheet puff pastry thawed but still cold
  • 1 egg for brushing

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, Parmesan, mayo, garlic powder, onion powder, and pepper. Add the drained spinach and mix until even.
  2. Flour your counter and roll out the puff pastry. Spread the spinach mixture over it, leaving one long side empty for sealing.
  3. Roll the pastry up tightly like a jelly roll. Wrap in plastic and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  4. Preheat the oven to 400°F. Slice the log into half-inch rounds and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment.
  5. Beat the egg with a splash of water and brush it on top of the pinwheels. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden and puffed.

Notes

  • Make sure to squeeze out all excess water from the spinach.
  • Keep the puff pastry cold until ready to use.
  • Feel free to adjust the spice level with red pepper flakes.
