Description

Decadent Chocolate Hazelnut Tart for Ultimate Indulgence

Ingredients

Scale
  • 200 g Chocolate Sandwich Cookies (Can substitute with any chocolate cookie)
  • 100 g Hazelnuts (blanched) (Toasted hazelnuts enhance flavor)
  • 100 g Butter (Can substitute with dairy-free alternative for vegan version)
  • 50 g Powdered Sugar (Sweetens the crust)
  • 100 g Dark Chocolate (Using 100g is recommended)
  • 100 g Milk Chocolate (Select chocolate 45-50% cocoa solids)
  • 200 ml Heavy Cream (Use coconut cream for dairy-free option)
  • 50 g Chopped Hazelnuts (For added texture in ganache)
  • 200 g Cream Cheese (Opt for full-fat for best results)
  • 100 g Hazelnut Butter (Homemade from processed hazelnuts)
  • 1 g Salt (Enhances overall flavors)
  • 1 tsp Vanilla (Recommended for depth of flavor)
  • 50 g Brown Sugar (Adds sweetness)
  • 200 ml Heavy Cream (for mousse) (Ensure it’s cold to achieve proper texture)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. In a food processor, grind the chocolate sandwich cookies and blanched hazelnuts together. Combine with melted butter and powdered sugar until you reach a wet sand consistency. Firmly press the mixture into a 10” tart pan and bake for 12 minutes. Allow to cool completely.
  2. Finely chop the dark and milk chocolate. Heat the heavy cream in a saucepan until steaming, then pour it over the chopped chocolate. Let it rest for a minute before stirring until smooth and glossy. Fold in the chopped hazelnuts and carefully pour the ganache into the cooled crust.
  3. Toast the hazelnuts on a baking sheet for about 10 minutes until fragrant. Let them cool, then process in a food processor until they form a creamy paste. Set aside to cool further.
  4. In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add in the brown sugar, salt, and a splash of vanilla, mixing until combined. Incorporate the hazelnut butter, then in a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until it reaches soft peaks. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until fluffy.
  5. Spread the hazelnut mousse over the ganache layer in the crust. Cover the tart and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight for the best results.

Notes

  • Use high-quality chocolate for best flavor.
  • Let the tart chill longer for improved texture.
  • Serve with whipped cream for an extra treat.
