- 1 ½ cups fresh strawberries
- 200 g semi-sweet chocolate
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 pre-baked pie crust
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp water
Instructions
- Prepare the pie crust by baking it if needed and allowing it to cool completely.
- In a saucepan over low heat, combine the chocolate and heavy cream, stirring until smooth and glossy.
- Add the vanilla extract and mix well.
- In a small bowl, combine cornstarch and water, then stir it into the chocolate mixture.
- Continue cooking on low heat until the mixture slightly thickens.
- Pour the chocolate filling into the cooled crust and spread evenly.
- Arrange the fresh strawberries on top, gently pressing them into the filling.
- Refrigerate for 3–4 hours until fully set.
- Slice and serve chilled.
