Description
A delicious Chipotle Garlic Sauce with Sour Cream ready in just 10 minutes—perfect for dips, marinades, or drizzles.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup Sour Cream (Substitute with Greek yogurt for lower calories or cashew cream for dairy-free.)
- 1–4 pieces Chipotles in Adobo Sauce (Adjust for spice preference.)
- 2 cloves Garlic (Fresh minced works best.)
- 1 teaspoon Cumin (Optional; can substitute with ground coriander.)
- 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika (Regular paprika can be used for milder flavor.)
- 1 tablespoon Lime Juice (Apple cider vinegar can be used as an alternative.)
- 1 teaspoon Salt (Adjust to taste, consider low-sodium for dietary reasons.)
Instructions
- Start by placing room-temperature sour cream into a medium mixing bowl.
- Roughly chop 1 to 4 chipotles from adobo sauce, and mince 2 cloves of garlic. Add these to the bowl along with a tablespoon of adobo sauce, a teaspoon of ground cumin, and a teaspoon of smoked paprika.
- Using a whisk, mix all the ingredients together for about 30 seconds until fully combined.
- Taste your sauce and adjust flavor by adding more adobo sauce, a squeeze of lime juice, or a pinch of salt.
- Transfer your Chipotle Garlic Sauce to an airtight container and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes.
- Once chilled, stir the sauce before serving. Enjoy it as a drizzle over tacos or as a dip.
