- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2–3 tablespoons fresh orange juice
- 1 teaspoon orange zest
Instructions
- Cream softened butter and powdered sugar until light and smooth. Mix in vanilla. In a separate bowl, whisk flour, cardamom, and salt, then add to the butter mixture and mix just until a dough forms.
- Shape dough into a disc, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C). Roll dough to ¼-inch thickness or slice if using a log. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes until edges are lightly golden and tops remain pale. Cool completely.
- Whisk powdered sugar, orange juice, and orange zest until smooth, adjusting consistency as needed.
- Drizzle or spread glaze over cooled cookies and let set for 15–20 minutes before serving.
