Ingredients

- 1 lb breakfast sausage
- 8 eggs (large)
- 2 cups milk
- 4 cups bread cubes (day-old)
- 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or Colby Jack)
- 0.75 tsp salt
- 0.5 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13 dish.
- Cook sausage until browned and drain.
- Layer bread, sausage, and cheese in dish.
- Whisk eggs, milk, salt, and pepper.
- Pour egg mixture over casserole.
- Bake 40–45 minutes until set.
- Rest briefly before serving.
