- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 cup shelled pistachios, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8-inch baking pan and line it with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and 1 cup of granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the all-purpose flour and salt, and mix until a crumbly dough forms.
- Press the dough evenly into the prepared baking pan, creating a firm crust.
- In a separate bowl, gently toss the fresh blackberries with the remaining 1/4 cup of granulated sugar and the cornstarch.
- Spread the blackberry mixture evenly over the crust.
- Sprinkle the chopped pistachios over the top of the blackberry layer.
