Description
Decadent Banoffee Crumble That Will Wow Your Taste Buds
Ingredients
Scale
- 4–6 pieces ripe bananas (for perfect sweet flavor)
- 397 g (14 oz) carnation caramel (for gooey goodness)
- 180 g (1 cup + 2 tbsp) plain (all-purpose) flour (base for the crumble)
- 90 g (¼ cup + 2 tbsp) unsalted butter (cubed)
- 60 g (¼ cup + 1 tbsp) soft light brown sugar (adds subtle richness)
- 0.25 tsp grated nutmeg (for warm spice flavor)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) to create the perfect baking environment.
- Slice the bananas into even pieces, about 1/2 inch thick, and layer them gently across the bottom of your pie dish.
- Spread the carnation caramel evenly over the bananas, leveling the top with the back of a spoon.
- Combine the crumble topping ingredients: in a mixing bowl, stir together the flour, brown sugar, and nutmeg. Add the cubed butter, and rub it together using your fingertips until it’s crumbly.
- Spread the crumble topping evenly over the caramel layer, ensuring it reaches the edges of the pie dish.
- Bake in your preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the topping is golden and the caramel is bubbling through the edges.
- Remove from the oven and let it stand for about 5 minutes before serving.
