Description

A nostalgic crowd-pleaser, the Best Banana Pudding combines creamy vanilla, ripe bananas, and crunchy Nilla Wafers.


Ingredients

  • 2.5 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 0.75 cups confectioners’ sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 14 oz sweetened condensed milk
  • 5 oz instant banana pudding mix, dry powder
  • 1 cup 2% or whole milk
  • 11 oz Nilla Wafers
  • 8 medium bananas, sliced

Instructions

  1. Lightly grease a 9×13 baking dish with cooking spray and set aside.
  2. In the bowl of a stand mixer, combine heavy whipping cream, confectioners’ sugar, and vanilla extract. Whip until stiff peaks form, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. In the stand mixer bowl, whip softened cream cheese until fluffy, about 30 seconds. Then, add sweetened condensed milk and mix until smooth.
  4. Add dry banana pudding mix to the cream cheese mixture and blend well. Gradually stream in the milk, mixing until smooth.
  5. Gently fold in 2/3 of the whipped cream to the pudding mixture until fully combined.
  6. Layer Nilla Wafers, banana slices, and pudding mixture in the prepared dish, finishing with whipped cream on top.
  7. Cover and refrigerate for at least 8 hours or overnight.
  8. Before serving, crush remaining Nilla Wafers and sprinkle them on top.
