- 1 tablespoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 3 tablespoons garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon seasoned pepper
- Two 4.5-ounce cans mushroom pieces, drained
- One 28-ounce can baked beans
- Two 15.25-ounce cans kidney beans, undrained
- Two 6-ounce cans tomato paste
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3 medium carrots, sliced
- 3 stalks celery, sliced

- 1 red bell pepper, diced
- 2 jalapeño peppers, diced
- 1/4 cup beer
- 2 tablespoons crushed red pepper flakes

- Hot sauce, to taste
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the lean ground beef along with the diced onion, 1 tablespoon crushed red pepper flakes, garlic powder, and seasoned pepper.
- Drain any excess fat from the browned beef mixture. Transfer the mixture to a slow cooker.
- Into the slow cooker with the beef mixture, stir in the drained mushrooms, baked beans, undrained kidney beans, tomato paste, granulated sugar, sliced carrots, sliced celery, diced bell peppers, diced jalapeño peppers, beer, and barbecue sauce. Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of crushed red pepper flakes.
- Season the chili with hot sauce to your preferred level of spiciness.
- Cover the slow cooker and cook on the low setting for 4 to 5 hours, allowing the flavors to meld and deepen.
Notes
- Adjust the spice level with more or less hot sauce.
- For a thicker chili, reduce the amount of liquid added.
