Description

Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup whole milk (warmed)
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk (for icing)

Instructions

  1. Dissolve the yeast in warm milk and let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Combine the flour, sugar, and salt in a large mixing bowl. Create a well in the center and add the melted butter, eggs, and the yeast mixture.
  3. Mix until a dough forms, then knead on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 60 minutes, or until doubled in size.
  5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle about ¼ inch thick. Spread softened butter over the dough, then sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  6. Roll the dough tightly into a log and slice into 12 equal pieces. Place the rolls in a greased baking dish.
  7. Cover the rolls and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  8. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Whisk together the powdered sugar and 2 tablespoons of milk to make the icing while the rolls are baking.
  10. Drizzle the icing over the warm rolls once they are out of the oven.
  11. Serve warm and enjoy!
