- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup whole milk (warmed)
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ¼ cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 2 large eggs
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp milk (for icing)
Instructions
- Dissolve the yeast in warm milk and let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
- Combine the flour, sugar, and salt in a large mixing bowl. Create a well in the center and add the melted butter, eggs, and the yeast mixture.
- Mix until a dough forms, then knead on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 60 minutes, or until doubled in size.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle about ¼ inch thick. Spread softened butter over the dough, then sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
- Roll the dough tightly into a log and slice into 12 equal pieces. Place the rolls in a greased baking dish.
- Cover the rolls and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
- Whisk together the powdered sugar and 2 tablespoons of milk to make the icing while the rolls are baking.
- Drizzle the icing over the warm rolls once they are out of the oven.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
